EZ Classified Advertizing™ SOP, category stylebook

When someone wants to know more about your services, s/he will want to know where you are located and what you offer. Since ads are sorted alphabetically by title, similar services are sorted together. Since the title field is searchable, someone can find your company simply by typing in your specialty.

This category contains several different specific services, so identify the generic subject as the first word in your ad. For instance, if you offer web site hosting and design, say: Internet, web hosting. You could also provide a separate listing which begins: Web site design

Other search parameters: business name, zip code (both 3 digit and 5 digit), price, free items and new items. If you have questions, please use e-mail contact button.

Article V of the US Constitution

The federal government is broken. Career politicians in Washington will never limit their own power.

Our Founding Fathers entrusted us -- the American people -- with authority to call a Convention of States to propose amendments to limit federal power.

The U.S. Constitution dictates  everything not specifically designated to the federal government should be entrusted to the states.

That's not what’s happening today. Most states only control 40% of issues pertaining to their own money -- unelected bureaucrats decide the rest.

Sixty percent of the time… someone sitting in an office on the other side of the country… who was never even elected… makes decisions that directly impact your life.

Mark Levin says, "Today the federal government is the nation's largest creditor, lender, employer, consumer, grantor, property owner, tenant, insurer, healthcare provider, and pension guarantor: Does that sound like limited government to you?"

The Founders left a solution as big as the problem.

Now it's time to use the power entrusted to the states in Article V, to propose amendments to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on Congress, staffers, and bureaucrats.

Mark Meckler comment, “This is the battle of our generation.”

It only takes 34 states to make it happen, and twelve are already onboard. We're closing in on victory. Find out more, click the video button. You can skip the ad in 3 seconds.

♦ Classified SOP, category stylebook - Acceptable ads

One would think acceptable advertising content would not have to have an exhaustive list of that which will not be accepted. But in this day and age, some folks will think of options we have not considered.

All ads we post are subject to our approval and we will look diligently for those which are not appropriate. Click on the "Website Link:" below and in a case like this one, we would hope to catch it so it would not have been posted and then we would follow up and forward all information we have to the proper authorities.

Kia Sedona 2008 purchased new from Butler Kia
wife died in 2010, gifted above to middle daughter

determined like Sedona better than Nissan so purchased
Kia Sedona 2006 used from Butler Kia 2011

determined wanted better gas mileage so purchased
Kia Spectra 2006 used from Butler Kia 2013

totaled when hit a deer so purchased
Saturn Ion 2008 used from Butler Kia 2015

didn't like Ion so purchased
Toyota Avalon 2005 used from Butler Kia 2015

Suspect my demographic wouldn't classify me as a good potential customer, but this many vehicles over 5 years might change a good sales manager's mind

Peters is first contact from customer contact program
Peters now is contact name for service and Kellie Drake first mentioned
New contact name from auto customer contact program
follow up again from Peters

Mitchell Bishop was the sale person when I bought the Spectra so I made it a point to talk to him when replacing it after the deer episode

When I decided I didn't like the Spectra (was sold as is and had trouble with cruise control) next visit to look for a replacement
by this time I had purchased the Saturn Ion from Mitchell and he knew the Spectra had been totaled in the deer accident so it wasn't available for sale or service
I'm not sure if Kia shares customer information with other dealers but I began getting solicitations from Skillman
Promotional material now again from Peters and credibility of personal contact is in jeopardy
which might have been restored a bit if it also mentioned Mitchell
Welcome would indicate they thought I was a first time customer
Now Kellie is requesting information about my original purchase again.
and Mitchell is trying to get me to bring back fro service

Hitler, he only had one ball,
Goering had two but they were small.
Himmler had something simmler,
And Keitel was too close to call.
Rommel, has four or five, I guess,
No one's quite sure 'bout Rudolf Hess.
Schmelling, was always yelling,
And Mister Goe-balls had no balls at all.

Could Oswald fire 3 shots in 5.6 seconds using the Carcano bolt action rifle from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository?

By: Stephen Binion, Truck Driver, former Marine, rtd Guard Cavalryman

Masaad Ayoob is a police chief and police trainer. He was of the belief Oswald couldn’t do it. In a class he taught on forensic re-enactment none of the right handed shooters could do it.

Oswald was right handed, but left eye dominant. Oswald shot left handed. Every lefty in Ayoob’s class made the shots in the timeframe Oswald did.

Found the article!!!
Full text of "Shots" link:
https://archive.org/stream/nsia-Shots/nsia-Shots/Shots%20086_djvu.txt

I too was a Marine like Oswald. Marines are better shots than 90 percent of the men you meet on the street.

I went to Deally plaza when I lived in Dallas. I literally laughed out loud at a conspiracy nut talking about impossible shots fired by Oswald. His LONGEST SHOT was 88 yards. I could have made those shots with my Ruger Blackhawk revolver in .41 Magnum.

Flat fee classified advertising - let me tell you how and why

The top line with the arrows show you have signed in correctly with your name on the left and WHMBTV on the right.

Under Main Menu you only have two options, find the content and sign off. When you click the "Content" button, the list of accounts you can access will be listed from newest at the top and oldest at the bottom. It will display 50 items per page.

Under the "Content" button you also have two options - add a new listing or export data from any or all of the listings.

All of the fields in the box that contains your name (in red) under "Owner" are fields in each listing that let you search for specifics. That can be useful if someone says they searched for their e-mail and couldn't find it, you can cut and paste it into that field and if it doesn't work, it isn't there. But if you look at what you use to contact them and search and it appears, it tells you the one listed is incorrect.

Most often you will know the ad id# and use it to find the account.

If the e-mail address is "form" it tells you that the web site requires you to fill out their form to send a message. We need a specific e-mail to a specific person for dealing with their account.

Under the space it says "Send batch Email" you will find a pull down menu with prewritten notices. If you do a search and find just one listing and click the "Email" button below it, the system sends that e-mail to just that one account. None will go to the listing with the "form" because it is not a correct e-mail format.

Several years ago, my friend and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at his employer’s home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss had a fine home on the waterway, and cars which cost more than her house.

The first day and evening went well. Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband’s employer was quite a generous host, and took them to the finest restaurants.

Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so she enjoyed herself immensely.

As the three were about to enter an exclusive restaurant, the boss walked slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband. He stopped suddenly, looking at the sidewalk for what seemed like a very long time.

Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing there except a single dingy penny someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts.

Silently, he reached down and picked up the penny.

He held it up, smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found some great treasure.

How absurd! What need did he have for a single penny?

Why would he even take time pick it up?

Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her. Finally, she could stand it no longer. She causally mentioned her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if that particular penny had some value.

A smile crept across his face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. She’d seen many pennies before! What was his point?

“Look at it,” he said. “Read what it says.”

She read, “United States of America.”

“No, not that; read further.”

“One cent?”

“No, keep reading.”

“In God we Trust?”

“Yes!”

“And?”

“And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin, I notice its inscription. It’s written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to see it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray. I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; do I really trust in Him. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it’s God’s way to start a conversation with me. God is patient, and, pennies are plentiful!

When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped to pick it up and realized I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change. I read those words, “In God We Trust,” and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the message.

It seems I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful!

And God is patient...

Here’s another lesson gleaned from the lowly penny, which is now mostly worthless to the point the US Mint wants to scrap making them. It claims making them costs more than twice their value. Canada already has stopped.
Link:
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/03/canada-to-stop-making-pennies/

But if you come across a rare, uncirculated “wheat penny” it may be worth $300,000.
Link:
http://coins.about.com/od/Lincoln-Penny/tp/Lincoln-Wheat-Penny-Key-Dates-Rarities-and-Varieties.htm

But here’s the real lesson...Economics 101.
Incremental change never seems to be a problem because it’s disguised as insignificant. Indiana celebrates its 200th birthday in 2016. Our country from 1776 to today is only 240 years. The penny’s value has become worthless to most folks within just the last 30 or 40. What do you suppose happens when our 100 year old bridges need repair, that cost now adjusted for safe maintenance leaves 2,000 in Indiana neglected, unsafe. Unsafe, each bridge is as worthless as that penny, or worse, dangerous.

The penny post card provided card and stamp when I was young. Postage alone is now 35 cents with no card. Minimum wage increase is no different, regardless of attempted justifications and claims much the same as cost of living increases.

If you want to carry what may be the least intrusive talisman (look it up), consider the penny, what it says.

So keep in mind, when those who appear to be your friends try to encourage you to try something which seems innocent (like smoking*) and not really very risky, your first step may only be halfway across the chasm.

*I think I was a first grader when Joan, Jimmie Fowler, our neighbor, and I, were caught smoking in the backyard shed across the alley. There is a longer version I won’t bore you with.

Grocery list

Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat spread across her face, walked into his grocery store.

She approached him humbly and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and needed food.

John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and asked her to leave his store at once.

Visualizing her family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'

John told her he could not give her credit since she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter, a customer overheard the conversation. He walked over to tell the grocer he would stand good for whatever she needed. The grocer very reluctantly agreed and asked, 'Do you have a grocery list?'

Louise replied, 'Yes sir.'

'O.K' he said, 'put your grocery list on these scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.'

Louise hesitated a moment, bowed her head, then reached into her purse, took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the paper on the scale, carefully, with her head still bowed.

The grocer's eyes and the customer's, too, were amazed as the scales tilted and stayed there.

John, stared at his scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'

The customer smiled and John began putting groceries on the scales balance side. The scale did not balance. John put more groceries on them until it would hold no more.

John stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales. It wasn't a grocery list.

It said: 'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'

John gave her the groceries, stood in stunned silence.

Louise thanked him and left.

The customer handed John a $100 bill and said; 'It was worth every penny. Only God knows how much a prayer weighs.'

Re: Message to the board
Janie Rea
Hi Don
Seeing your picture in my email weekly makes it feel like we’ve met but I don’t think we have had the occasion.  My parents bought Eagle’s Nest back in the 70s and my family had been coming to Marco Island through their ownership. I don’t recall when we took over but we now own the condo for week 2 since, maybe, the 90s.

I don’t know if you were looking for responses to this email but I have to say that I was quite happy when I heard about the Friendship List and have used it. I found the process of dealing with the owners directly easy and manageable. I think owners are happy to know that another owner is benefitting from their inability to use the week(s).  It also provides the owner with a monetary benefit. I have not ever tried to rent additional time from management but would imagine there is an additional cost as they need to make money to pay their staff; direct rental through the owner is like buying a house without the realtor expense.

That’s my take on this for what it’s worth.  I appreciate the amount of work it is for you to maintain the listings especially since you have had some technical issues recently. As an owner of one week I will defer to others who have several weeks of ownership at this great place.

Maybe we will meet sometime.  If not, thank you for your efforts with the List.

I vote to keep the list because it is OUR property and not our job to
make their job easier.  Does she think she can tell us what color to
paint our front door at home?  Did we buy Eagle's Nest to make the best
rental deal for Hilton or for us, the owner?

David Anderson
What you do is a kind service to the owners.  A person could always offer their units on other web sites if desired and the effect on the staff would be the same?

Kristine Lee
Don,
Thank you for doing what must be a pretty thankless and time-consuming job. I've subscribed to your list for quite a while and used it for a rental for the first time this year, and am in the process of renting again for next year. I own week 43 (30 years now) and have never rented or traded it. I just need a little more Eagle's Nest in my life. I do think you provide a valuable service. I know this cuts EN out of making a commission, but I, for one, am grateful for what you do.
Thank you,
Kris Lee

DONALD
Dear Don,

We as owners appreciate all that you have done to provide a service for us as owners. I feel your service benefits the owners first before the renter who comes in off the street wishing to spend the night at Eagle's Nest.
Last year we were able to rent two weeks from your list in units that we knew were ADA since I am a paraplegic in a power chair and can no longer use our tower unit.  The owner in turn got the full amount of the rental instead of 2/3 of it and it benefited the owner as well as the renter!  We were not able to find a renter for our week so we deposited with II for a trade which we are using this May.
This is a wonderful service you have provided for the owners and I hope you will not give it up!
Gratefully,  Donna Shiflet

Joyce and I will be at Eagles Nest weeks 10---13. We support what you are doing as I know many other owners will too. What I can't stand is our new Director CANDY and all her Facebook CRAP I get. I have dropped my Facebook account do to all her garbage. Two years ago I had open heart surgery and put 2 of my weeks up for rent with you. Within a day I had them rented.  Your listings are greatly appreciated.

You are providing owners a very valuable service.  Through this service owners can work directly with other owners on pricing their units for rent.   Eagles Nest does not offer this service.  If putting up our unit through Eagles Nest there  is a set price and we as owners have no say to who rents our unit.  Many times we just want to pay our annual fees through renting the unit when we are not able to use the unit.  Through Eagles Nest we may end up not getting. Rental at all because of their set pricing per day or per week.  Your service is  available to all.  Unfortunately, Eagles Nest does not allow all owners to learn about the service.
Please keep doing what you are doing in support of the owners.

Regis Brodie
Dear Don,
I find the "Friendship list" to be very helpful. It gives us an opportunity to add a week from a member or make one available. I do not understand the problem.

Will you explain the problem? I am confused.

I assume that is voluntary to be on your list. Do you get your email list directly from the staff?

I do not see what the issue as it is designed to be a friendship listing helping to get & give information. It can be valuable to all of our owners.

Thank you for your work & efforts on our behalf.
Be well, Regis Brodie (week 3 & 4)

Hanson, Gary
Don, I am very much a fan of this Friendship List and I encourage you to keep it going. I disagree that this is detrimental to eagles nest, though hearing Mona's position would be interesting. There are certainly other web sites doing the same thing, albeit for a fee. Your list brings important flexibility for owners to easily match weeks with their personal schedules and that then allows additional family members to rent the same weeks. Limiting those options, or leaving me with an unused week, does not make for happy owners. Also I think staff or sales people unnecessarily make what they have available difficult to determine as they won't post exact dates and prices, despite how convenient technology makes things. I strongly encourage you to stay the course. Competition and "free press" are good for all of us. Thanks for listening and for the service you provide.
Gary Hanson

Tony Smith
Don, please keep the Eagle's Nest distribution list up and going.  I find it very informative and helpful as a owner.  It is also helpful in helping other owners trying to get extra units for friends and family at a pretty good price.
Tony Smith

Joel Russell
Dear Don,
My name is Joel Russell and my wife and I own two weeks (3&4) at Eagles Nest. Both of us believe that the Friendship List provides very valuable information that is not available readily in any other format. We hope that you will continue to inform us with this very useful tool that provides opportunities for the Eagles Nest owners. Personally I believe that Mona has overstepped her bounds in suggesting that your efforts are not in the owners best interest, which clearly is not the case.
Thank you for all your time and effort in providing this valuable E N Friendship List.
Joel Russell   636-938-5578

Jon Udell
Dear Don:
I joined a group of 8 owners this morning to discuss your recent communication.  We vigorously and unanimously agreed that you provide Eagle's Nest owners a wonderful service that would be greatly missed if you were to terminate your site.  Please continue and we THANK YOU for the valuable service you provide.
Jon

PS  We would appreciate your posting the following:

and then this following follow up:  Wanted listings
Jon Udell
Hi Don,
Thanks for posting the notice so promptly.  Within minutes, I received a call and unit 406 in week 52 is now rented!   In the process, I'm receiving more money than I would have if we'd rented it through Hilton G. V., and another Eagle's Nest owner is renting it for substantially less than it would have cost if he'd rented it through HGV.

Therefore, two owners have benefitted from your site.  S0--thank you again for your service; I would like to buy you a lunch or dinner the next time we are both at the Eagle's Nest.  (We're usually here in weeks 1-11.)

Have a good year.

Jon Udell

US Open Projects: history - 1954

Indiana High School Basketball - glory days single class boys tournament

Career beginning: providing sectional scores for the Peru Daily Tribune: 1954
Miami County - Bunker Hill, Chili, Converse, Deedsville, Mexico, Twelve Mile

Even the smallest schools had a place in the event and a chance to win it all. First step were the sectionals, which fed into the regionals, the semi-state, state finals (final four)

I always wondered why there was so much enthusiasm for local teams, particularly those with no chance to advance. Losing so often would be a significant discouragement but that wasn’t the way it worked. Although every round, half the participants were losers, also the same number were winners and winners at the lowest level were proud to have a notch on their belt and the losers would look forward to trying to figure out how to get on that same page.

So there was significant motivation to be hopeful for this year and next and try to figure out how to be better as a team, with all the surrounding efforts.

In that decade, high school football and basketball dominated small and big Indiana towns because there was live local radio broadcasting the events, and many fans were faithful going to home games each Friday night. Players were always interested in who had their picture in the "paper" and usually weekend shopping was done on Saturday since many stores were not open Sundays.

VRBO calculator shows what you could earn renting your home to Naples travelers

Story from VRBO
VRBO calculator shows what you could earn renting your home to Naples travelers
VRBO Published 6:00 a.m. ET Feb. 13, 2019 Naples Daily News

Naples homeowners earned an average of $1,500 a month in rental income in 2017.
Naples homeowners earned an average of $1,500 a month in rental income in 2017. (Photo: VRBO)

Thinking about renting your home as a short-term vacation rental? According to VRBO, the site for renting vacation homes, cabins and condos, Naples homeowners earned an average of $1,500[1] a month in rental income in 2017, with many owners making up to $3,500[2] per month. The data is a clear signal of the potential rental income homeowners could make renting their property in the Naples area.

Each year, with vacation rentals becoming the preferred choice for travelers, homeowners are also realizing the financial benefits of renting their homes as a substantial source of income. VRBO enables homeowners to rent out a variety of different properties to earn extra income, including primary residences rented for only a few weeks and vacation homes or second homes rented throughout the year.

Currently, over 50% of VRBO owners use their rental income to cover at least 75% of their mortgage.[3] VRBO’s new rent potential calculator takes the guesswork out of the equation, so homeowners can get a preliminary estimate of what they could earn before they list. This offers Naples homeowners a clear idea of their potential extra income, which gives them the opportunity to plan for expenses like retirement, college tuition, or other household costs.

The Paradise Coast Half Marathon and other citywide events bring travelers from all over the world to Naples.

Holidays and large citywide events like the Paradise Coast Half Marathon and Stay in May bring in travelers from all over the world looking for a place to stay. As these events approach, VRBO is observing a spike in vacation rental demand, especially in core Naples neighborhoods like Old Naples, Royal Harbor, Port Royal, and Coquina Sands. Increased demand works in favor of homeowners, as Floridians who are already taking advantage of this opportunity can attest.

For those Naples homeowners looking to rent for the first time, VRBO provides everything needed to get started from helping you decide on the best price for your rental to effectively promoting your rental to their hundreds of millions of travelers.

“Naples is an incredibly popular destination for families and groups,” says Bill Furlong, VP of North American Business at VRBO. “We’re here to help homeowners capitalize on the many visitors to the city in the easiest way possible. Once a property is listed on VRBO, we work to match that property to the right travelers and maximize bookings and rental income for homeowners.”

Interested to see how much your home could make? At www.vrbo.com/earn, you can enter basic information about your home’s size and location. You’ll receive an instant estimate of your property’s rental potential based on nearby comparable Naples rentals.

When we know John’s mom suddenly had to go to the hospital last night, when Julie got kicked out by her stepmom and had to move back in with her mom (who is a bit shady), when so and so got into a shouting match with her boyfriend right outside my room, so I report the incident to administration so they can monitor the situation and counsel both students on how to move on without resorting to incorrect tactics (violence).
When I ask, why didn’t you do your homework, the student looks down. Then when I pry a little bit more, they burst out crying and through the sobs explain how their dad has been in the hospital for 2 months and is probably dying.
These examples: in the span of 2 months.
Then we try not to think too much about their situation since we still have to teach the other 36 children in class.
Yet, these are the ones we see as victories for just coming to class today. These are the ones we have a hard time not thinking about, hoping, caring, sending as many “good vibes” their way as we can.
Compared to them, my life is easy.

Which marketing ploy was extremely cheap, yet wildly successful and lucrative?

Michael Speer, B.A. Communication & Public Relations, University of New Haven
Answered May 14 · Quora question

In 2006, George Wright joined Blendtec as the small company’s Marketing Director.

Now, George Wright was accustomed to a much larger marketing budget than Blendtec could offer. He would even joke all of Blendtec’s revenues were less than his marketing budget at George’s previous company.

So how did George increase Blendtec’s revenue by 700% in the next two years?

Well, Tom Dickson, Blendtech's founder, had a unique way to test his products, as George would soon learn. Tom would use wooden boards to study the durability of the blenders, to see how much strain he could put on his inventions before they broke.

This gave George an idea. He went to the store and got a few common, inexpensive items: marbles, golf balls, a rake, and a white lab coat for Tom.

The blender turned each item to dust while George captured the carnage on camera. He then uploaded the video to YouTube, and “Will it Blend?” was born.

The series was wildly successful.

That first week, his videos reached 6 million views. People were amazed by the  Blendtec blender's strength, and sales shot up.

You don’t necessarily need a huge budget to run a successful marketing campaign. You just need a great idea and the power of word-of-mouth.
